Senior Lunch Site

The Lakeview Senior Center and the Buncombe County Council on Aging host a lunch Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 2:00. This is a great opportunity for seniors to get out and meet new folks in the area, enjoy fellowship and a great meal! These meals are available to seniors over 60. Bingo is played every Thursday at 11.

*There is free transportation provided by Mountain Mobility.

When: Monday through Friday 10AM-2PM, lunch served at noon.

Lunch & Learn

Monday, September 20th: 9:45am-1300pm: This lunch and learn is on the move! Come join in the kick off to Active Aging Week in WNC through a celebration of health and wellness at the Land-of-Sky Regional Council's Annual Wellness Expo at the Biltmore Square Mall. This free event will be packed full of activities such as exercise demonstrations, flu shots, health exhibits and a volunteer fair. Transportation is FREE but please bring money for lunch afterwards.

SHIP: Senior Health Insurance Program

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)

Every Thursday from 9:30 am until 11:30 there will be a SHIP volunteer here at the Lakeview Senior Center to support seniors with questions regarding Medicare and/or Medicaid. Help is provided with such things as: paying for prescriptions, questions on billing, filling a claim, understanding your bill and any other issue that you may be having with Medicare/Medicaid.
