Wednesday, July 14, 9:45 am: Come along for Asheville's most popular tour! We will take the famous red trolley ride that takes you on a fully narrated journey highlighting the history of Asheville landmarks. Tickets and transportation is $25. Please bring money for lunch afterward. Must have 5 people for trip to run.
Friday, July 23, 9:30am: Lake Lure Boat Tour. Discover the beauty and charm of Lake Lure, and relax on the covered tour boats while your skipper guides you past local attractions and landmarks such as the location used in filming Dirty Dancing and the recently restored historic Lake Lure Inn and Spa. You will also learn about the natural and cultural history of Hickory Nut Gorge. Tickets and transporation is $17; please bring money for lunch. Must have 5 people for trip to run.
Tuesday, August 3, 1:00pm: WNC Arboretum. We will begin a tour at the Baker Exhibit Center greenhouse and learn about the Heritage, Stream, Quilt, and Bonsai Exhibition gardens. Topics include plant choices, garden design, and container gardening. $7 per person.
Friday, August 13, 10:00; Blueberry Picking. Take a trip down the mountain to Old Fort to pick and take home fresh, locally grown blueberries! This is not a farm tour, but rather an opportunity to pick fresh fruit. $5 for transportation + cost of blueberries you pick. *Please note: As fruit does not ripen on a specific schedule, there may be few or many blueberries. You may also have the option to pick other fresh fruit. Must have five to go.
